Terms of service
Short, and written to be read. Submitting a case means you accept these terms.
Nature of the service
Baby Hip Center provides an educational second opinion based solely on the images and information you submit. It does not include a physical examination and therefore cannot constitute a diagnosis. The report is intended to help you understand your child's situation and to support your discussion with the clinicians treating your child.
No doctor-patient relationship
Using this service does not create a doctor-patient relationship between you and the reviewing consultant or the Baby Hip Center team, and does not transfer responsibility for your child's care. Your treating physician remains responsible for diagnosis and treatment.
Emergencies
This service is never appropriate for urgent problems. If your child is in pain, feverish, unable to move a limb, or otherwise unwell, seek immediate in-person medical care instead of submitting a case.
Your responsibilities
You confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child whose images you upload, that you are entitled to share those images, and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Reports are based on what you submit; incomplete or inaccurate information limits what the review can tell you.
Payment and refunds
The fee is $89 per case, charged at submission. If the images you supply cannot be interpreted reliably, or your case falls outside the scope of infant and childhood hip conditions, the fee is refunded in full and no report is issued.
Limitation of liability
The report is an opinion on limited information, offered in good faith. To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability arising from use of this service is limited to the fee you paid for the case in question.
